Year of the Rooster, Shou Puerh 2017
Although this tea is young, the original Sheng Puerh leaf quality is very high. The leaves come from ~200 year old trees in MengKu, Lincang. Our fermentation process is very clean. The tea already has an amazingly sweet, earthy flavor. Its energy is relatively high compared to an old Shou Puerh. We have found this tea to be pleasantly moving, warming up the stomach and limbs quickly. One customer aptly commented that "The 2017 Shou is very clean, but needs some time to gain more depth). Indeed, we believe that in time this will be one of the best aged Ripe Puerhs around. That said, it is amazing to drink now and this shows the remarkable quality of the original material as well as the high level of skill in its production process.
