Da Xue Shan, Ancient Arbor, Spring 2018
The leaves come from ~400-500 year old trees grown above 2,000 meters in Da Xue Shan, Lincang, Yunnan. The tea is very viscous, sweet, and vegetal approximately 1 month out from its pressing. Drinking this tea makes us feel like we are in a forest, it is so peaceful, clean, and relaxing. This area is 1-2 hours driving from most civilization, and the leaves are not picked very often. I will say that this tea is strong on the stomach compared to our MengKu Sheng Puerh; I would recommend having some food before drinking. This is our first year pressing a tea from Da Xue Shan, and we are extremely happy with the product!
