White Tea, Old Tree, Spring 2018, Tian Ci (Mao Cha)
Tian Ci translates to "Bestowed by Heaven", and it is a white tea we have produced since 2015. White tea is said to be good in the morning for meditation, or on a hot summer's day due to its cool nature. Our White Tea comes from 200+ year old tea trees in Mengku, Lincang, Yunnan. The tea is shade dried and we have both Mao Cha and pressed cakes.
This tea won a second place prize at the Shenzhen International Tea Exhibition in Fall, 2019!
Many customers have commented that this tea tastes and smells like honey. The tea body is smooth, full bodied, and viscous. The Qi is pleasant and mildly uplifting. Compared to most white teas this tea is quite warm from the Chinese Medicine perspective; because of this, the tea is more balanced for the stomach and digestive system than the average white tea.
6 grams of tea brews 15-20 rounds in a standard sized Gai Wan. This tea is loose leaf.
