Da Xue Shan Ancient Arbor Mao Cha, Autumn 2018
This Autumn Mao Cha come from ~400-500 year old trees grown above 2,000 meters in Da Xue Shan, Lincang, Yunnan. This area is quite remote; it is 1-2 hours driving from most civilization. The tea is very viscous and sweet just like the Spring Da Xue Shan. Compared to the Spring, the Autumn Da Xue Shan is less complex or colorful; instead it has deeper and steady notes that match its season. The leaves are larger, darker, and older than Spring. The flavor is just as strong if not stronger, and the smell of the leaves (dry or wet) is heavenly.
