Yu Wei, Ancient Arbor Sheng Puerh, Spring 2018
From trees ranging from 500-1000 years old in Lincang, Yunnan. Yu Wei is one of our best Sheng Puerhs from 2018. Yu Wei has an incredibly smooth, sweet, and viscous body for a tea that, at the time I am writing this, is only 1 month out from being pressed. The main taste note we picked out is citrus, although it is difficult to say what this tea's taste will be like once a few months passes from its pressing. The Qi reflects the taste; it is very smooth yet also invigorating. The Qi is similar to He Zi Hao and Xiang Yu; they are all very relaxing and can be poured anytime of day or night. Sleep may come before you can finish the pot of tea.
With 6 grams, this tea can brew over 20 times. We drank it over two days when we were first trying this tea out. Even 1-2 grams of leaves can yield a 7-10 pots of tea.
