Yu Wei, Ancient Arbor Sheng Puerh, Spring 2018
From a single tree that is over 500 years old in Mengku, Lincang, Yunnan. Yu Wei has an incredibly smooth, sweet, and viscous body for a tea that, at the time I am writing this, is only 1 month out from being pressed. The main taste note we picked out is citrus, although it is difficult to say what this tea's taste will be like once a few months passes from its pressing. The Qi reflects the taste; it is very smooth yet also invigorating. The Qi is similar to He Zi Hao and Xiang Yu; they are all very relaxing and can be poured anytime of day or night. Sleep may come before you can finish the pot of tea if you drink it late.
With 6 grams, this tea can brew over 20 times. We drank it over two days when we were first trying this tea out. Even 1-2 grams of leaves can yield a 7-10 pots of tea.
